Our Own Master of Media,
Talks About Media Outreach
During the Covid-19 Era

Adam Dvorin, the vice president of media relations at EFK Group, recently recorded a session for Earned Media Mastery, a virtual summit for public relations professionals.

Dvorin’s talk, “Mastering outreach: Making new media relationships in 2021”, focused on the adjustments media relations practitioners made as a result of pandemic-related newsroom staffing changes.

“I wanted to let my colleagues and peers know some things to do when reporters aren’t coming into the newsroom,” Dvorin said. “You still have to make your clients stand out while also respecting their boundaries.”

Nicolette began her public relations career at Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest comprehensive health network. While at HMH, she worked on the Public Relations and Marketing teams at the Southern Ocean and Ocean Medical Center.

She furthered her career at the healthcare public relations agency Green Room Communications, where she worked on leading pharmaceutical company accounts like Johnson & Johnson, Novo Nordisk, and AbbVie.

Nicolette joins the EFK PR team as an account executive and currently manages accounts in the state and healthcare space, such as The Diabetes Foundation and NJMMA.

Alexa comes from the entertainment industry, starting her career as the social media and promotions director at Brave New Radio, ranked as the nation’s best college radio station consecutively according to the IBS awards. At the age of 17 Alexa began a movement to help the youth in Nicaragua by providing school supplies to students and encouraging education.

She worked with talent agencies and pursued her podcast career as a journalist covering historical stories for The Pioneer Times, a Wayne NJ publication. Alexa also worked for nonprofits such as The Puerto Rican Action Board to help equip the communities most in need in the state of New Jersey.

Alexa joins the EFK PR team as a senior account executive, managing accounts such as The Newark Museum, LEAP Academy, and more.

Megan earned a Masters in Advertising from Technology University Dublin, Ireland. She spent 2 years working in creative ad agencies in Dublin, gaining experience in an array of mediums from traditional OOH and POS to digital display and social. Her primary focus was on alcohol brands (Jameson, Absolut, Coors Light), and ensuring all creative projects met the strict regulatory code in Ireland.

Megan later moved on to become a Digital Project Manager at Dept Agency, where I worked on web development and social campaign projects for Irish semi-state bodies such as the public water provider, Irish Water, and the public health service, the HSE.

Joining EFK as a Senior Account Manager, Megan will primarily be working on the National Science Foundation’s campaign for America’s Seed Fund.

“I’m delighted to be back home in the US and be part of the team at EFK where I can utilize my background to continue working on a combination of advertising and digital development projects.“
